Taralle, Barese Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    dash of black pepper
    1 1/2 doz. eggs
    1/2 c. oil
Preparation
    Beat eggs well.
    Add
    dry ingredients.\tAdd oil and mix all together until dough
    is smooth.
    Cut into pieces and form into circles
    with
    slits
    horizontal
    on
    sides.
    Drop\tinto boiling water and cook
    until
    light and float to top.
    Remove from water and allow to
    cool.
    Then
    should be hard;\tif they are soggy, reboil.
    Bake at
    400\u00b0
    on a rack for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
