Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 stick oleomargarine
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. Spanish vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
8 oz. chocolate chips (more chips optional)
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation

Cream margarine and shortening; add sugars.
Beat with electric mixer until fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Gradually add flour, baking soda and salt to sugar mixture until well beaten. Add chips and nuts; stir with fork.
Spoon batter onto well-greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Oops don't forget to preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
