Never-Fail Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    1/2 c. boiling water
    6 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    pinch of salt
    3 egg whites at room temperature
    vanilla
Preparation
    Use clean, dry utensils that are free of grease.
    Mix cornstarch with the 2 tablespoons cold water.
    Add the 1/2 cup boiling water and cook, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and is clear.
    Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool.
    With electric mixer at high speed, beat egg whites until stiff.
    With low speed, add the sugar, salt, cooled cornstarch mix.
    Return to high speed and beat well.
    Put on pie and bake at 350\u00b0 until browned, 8 to 10 minutes.
