Christmas Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. shortening or butter
    3 eggs, beaten
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. or more sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and shortening.
    Add water, beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Mix sifted dry ingredients; add to the mixture to form a stiff dough.
    (More flour may be required if the eggs are large.)
    Roll in small quantities to 1/8-inch thickness on a floured board.
    Cut into rings like doughnuts, using two sizes of plastic cups.
    Arrange both rings and holes on a greased baking sheet; decorate with sprinkled sugar.
    Bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
    Makes 8 dozen cookies.
