Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dry bread cubes
    4 c. milk, scalded
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg
    1/2 c. seedless raisins (if desired)
Preparation
    Sprinkle
    in
    a little cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Soak bread in scalded milk 5 minutes.
    Add butter, salt and sugar.
    Pour hot mixture
    slowly
    over
    beaten eggs, stirring as you pour. Add vanilla
    and
    mix
    well.
    Pour into buttered baking dish. Bake in pan
    of water at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes until firm and
    golden brown on top.
    You can add seedless raisins if you desire before baking.
