Lorene Thomas' Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. cherries (red sour pitted; reserve juice)
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter; add egg.
    Mix well, then add cherries and nuts.
    Add flour with salt and soda.
    Bake until brown at 325\u00b0.
    Cut in serving squares and serve with cherry sauce and whipped cream.
