Ingredients

1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients twice.
Break egg into dry ingredients, combine milk and water and add a little at a time to dry ingredients.
Beat smoothly until like thick cream.
Let stand 1 hour.
Put a dessert spoon of fat into a 9-inch square pan.
Heat fat in pan until hot at 450\u00b0.
Pour mixture into hot fat and bake for 20 minutes.
Serve immediately.
