Ingredients

1 c. raisins
2 c. currants
1 c. cherries, chopped
1 c. prunes, chopped
1/2 c. citron or mixed peel, cut in small pieces
1/2 c. nuts
1 lb. butter
5 c. sugar
6 c. grated bread crumbs
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
rind of 2 lemons
2 c. milk
1 doz. eggs
2 tsp. ground pimentos
Preparation

Wash fruits if necessary.
Drain and in a jar or bottle, add wine, rum, brandy, stout and burnt sugar and mix well.
Seal tightly and place in a cool area for about 4 weeks.
