Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cabbage, chopped up
    1/2 gal. green tomatoes
    8 large onions
    10 green sweet peppers
    6 hot peppers
    3 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Let stand overnight, then drain, then put 1-quart vinegar, 1/4 cup pickling spice and 1 3/4 cups sugar.
    Boil until tender, then put in jars and seal.
