Flora Raper'S Hypocrite Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. dried apples
water and sugar
cinnamon
1 unbaked pie shell
3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg

Preparation

In a saucepan, cover the apples with water and cook until tender and water is absorbed.
Season with sugar and cinnamon to taste.
When apple mixture is cooled, spoon into bottom of pie shell about 1/2 inch thick.
