Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 (12 oz.) bags semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. In a
large mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. With fingers, place golf ball-sized dough portions 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes or just until edges are light brown. Don't overbake. Makes about 30 cookies.
