Jack'S Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. boneless chuck roast
    1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
    6 large carrots
    8 potatoes
    2 c. water
    salt and pepper
    flour
    3 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Flour roast on all sides and brown in hot oil.
    Salt and pepper both sides.
    Place in large skillet or roasting pan.
    (I use a No. 12 skillet.)
    Cut up potatoes and carrots to bite size and place around the roast.
    Pour water over meat and vegetables.
    Pour 1 package Lipton soup mix over entire preparation.
    Cover and place in preheated oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
    Add hot water if needed for additional gravy.
