Dry Apple Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    large cooker apples to cook
    1 c. (packed) shortening
    3 to 4 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 1/2 c. milk
    4 to 5 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Cook the apples until done.
    Mix all together shortening, eggs, sugar, molasses, milk, flour, vanilla and allspice until thick.
    Pour into an 8-inch greased and floured iron skillet. Fill 1/2 full and bake at 350\u00b0 until done (the toothpick should come out clean).
    Stack on top of each other with apples spread between each layer.
