Mock Enchilada Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/3 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 can chili con carne (without beans)
    1 can tomato soup
    1 medium pkg. corn chips (medium size chips)
    3/4 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Brown meat, onion and bell pepper.
    Drain.
    Add chili and soup (do not add water).
    Place a layer of corn chips in a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Add a layer of meat and sauce and then a layer of cheese.
    Repeat until gone.
    Set aside for 20 minutes before baking.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
