Creole Red Devil'S Food Cake (Never Fail) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. boiling coffee
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 level tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cloves
    2 egg yolks
    2 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
    Pour coffee over cocoa and cook until thick; let cool.
    Mix flour, baking soda and cloves together.
    Cream Crisco and sugar. Beat egg yolks and add to cocoa-coffee mixture.
    Add milk, flour, baking soda and cloves.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Bake in loaf cake and/or rectangular pan in preheated oven at 375\u00b0 until it pulls away from sides of the pan or until it springs back when lightly touched on top.
    When cool, top with white icing.
