Yellow Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. yellow corn meal
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg
    4 Tbsp. salad oil
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Beat egg slightly; add milk and salad oil.
    Stir lightly.
    Pour into 10-inch square pan.
    Bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Makes 12 pieces. (Cubed bacon can be put on top of batter.)
