Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 2 lb. onions, sliced thin
    3/4 c. butter (margarine can be substituted)
    1 qt. hot onion bouillon stock
    1/2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Melt butter in pot which you will use for the soup, but do not brown.
    Add the sliced onions and cook over low heat stirring occasionally until onions are soft and light brown.
    Sprinkle the flour on top of onions.
    Dissolve 4 bouillon cubes in 4 cups of boiling water, add to onions, stir well and season to taste. Simmer for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Serve with grated cheese and cubed toast.
