Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. molasses
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Beat egg until fluffy, add molasses.
    Blend in flour 1 cup at a time.
    Add oil, then sugar, followed by spices and baking soda. Add 1 cup hot water last and mix well on low speed.
    Pour into 9 x 13 pan and bake 30-40 minutes.
    Cool slightly and serve lukewarm with whip cream or vanilla ice cream.
