Alligator Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
dash of salt
1/3 c. orange juice
2 tsp. grated orange rind
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. water
1 egg, well beaten
2 Tbsp. butter

Preparation

Combine sugar, flour and salt in double boiler.
Add fruit juice, water and egg.
Place over rapidly boiling water and cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add butter and orange rind.
Cool.
Spread between cake layers.
