Chinese Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. pecans
    4 beaten eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. chopped dates
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven
    to
    350\u00b0.
    Sift
    dry
    ingredients (except powdered sugar) together;
    add pecans and dates, stirring well until each piece
    is
    well coated with beaten eggs.
    Spread in thin layer in
    long
    (greased) pan.
    Bake only until edges are stiff enough to
    hold
    shape.
    Cut\tinto
    small
    squares.
    Use powdered sugar to coat each square and work into a ball.
    Roll in additional powdered sugar.
