Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 onion
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 qt. canned tomatoes
    1 (40 oz.) can kidney beans
Preparation
    Cook ground beef and onion in shortening until brown.
    Add other ingredients and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
