Overnight Caramel Strata - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
12 slices white bread, crust removed
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. whole milk
6 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients and stir over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves.
Bring to boil.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan and coat pan bottom evenly with the mixture.
Then arrange 6 slices of bread in a single layer on top of the caramel layer, trimming bread to fit.
Cover with remaining bread.
Whisk the rest of the ingredients and pour over the bread.
Cover and chill overnight.
Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0
for 40 minutes or until bread is puffed and light golden brown.
Let stand for 5 minutes. Invert portions or the entire pan on serving plate.
Garnish with fruit.
