Nona'S Lemon Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 c. flour, sifted before measured
    1 round tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    6 egg whites, beaten stiff
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter (not melt).
    Add milk and flour alternately.
    Add stiffly beaten egg whites last.
    Cook in slow oven at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
    This makes 2 large layers or 3 small layers.
