Sour Cream Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. butter cake mix
    2 1/2 pt. sour cream
    2 pkg. frozen coconut
    1 c. pecans
    1 small jar cherries
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bake cake according to package directions (two 9-inch layers). Mix sugar, vanilla and sour cream and let stand in refrigerator while cake is baking.
    Cool cake; slice layers in half.
    Pour sour cream mixture, coconut, nuts and cherries alternately on each layer.
    Store in refrigerator.
    Cake is best made a day before serving.
