Poached Dried Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. mixed dried fruit (such as pears, apricots, apples and prunes)
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 cinnamon sticks
    4 whole cloves
    1/2 c. white Riesling or Rhine wine (or substitute white grape juice)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in saucepan.
    Boil over high heat. Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes until fruit is tender.
    Cool. Discard cinnamon sticks and cloves.
    Serve warm.
