Ingredients

3 c. flour plus 4 Tbsp.
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter (half shortening may be used)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9 oz.) pkg. Rockwood chocolate mint wafers
pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Cream butter (half shortening may be used) and add gradually sugar and
brown sugar, creaming well.
Blend in eggs, water and vanilla.
Beat well.
Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
