Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vegetable oil
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. red wine vinegar
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
    1 head romaine lettuce
    1 head Boston lettuce
    1 pt. sliced strawberries
    4 oz. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
    1/2 c. chopped, toasted walnuts
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients in a jar and shake.
    This will keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
    Tear lettuce and combine with cheese, strawberries and nuts.
    Pour dressing on just before serving.
    This is a great summertime salad.
