Ingredients

1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1 lb. light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. broken pecans (big pieces, not chopped)
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0 and melt butter in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Put brown sugar in a large mixer bowl and pour melted butter over it. Cream butter and sugar and beat in eggs.
Mix in flour, baking powder, vanilla and pecans and pour back into already buttered pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
When cool, cut in squares.
