Dumplings(Italian Style) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk
    1 c. cornmeal
    3 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
    1/4 c melted butter
Preparation
    Mix milk and cornmeal in a pan.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until thick.
    Stir into eggs.
    Add salt, pepper, onion and 1 cup cheese.
    Pour into baking pan so mixture is about 1 1/2 inches thick and chill.
    Remove from pan and cut into pieces.
    Place on greased baking sheet; brush with butter and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
    Makes 6 servings.
