Rolled Wheat Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. quick oats
1 1/3 c. hot water
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 unbeaten eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Pour hot water over rolled wheat and let stand.
Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, flour, soda and cinnamon.
Mix and then add rolled wheat.
Bake 40 minutes or until done at 350\u00b0.
This will make a 19 x 13-inch cake.
(I use a 9 1/2 x 13-inch pan.) Serve with Butterscotch Sauce.
