Ingredients

1 c. butter (sticks)
1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 egg, beaten
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, orange rind and egg. Mix well. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Drop from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until light brown. Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar immediately after removing from oven.
