Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. soda
2 1/2 c. apples
1 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg
1 c. nuts and raisins

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and mix in all ingredients.
Pour into greased loaf pans.
Bake very slow.
Keep pan of water below cake while baking.
