Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. dark corn syrup
1 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. chopped blanched almonds
1/4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup and cream in a heavy saucepan.
Cook 50 minutes over low heat or until mixture forms a firm ball when a bit is dropped in ice water.
Add almonds and baking powder, stirring to mix.
Spoon into small candy cups.
Let stand until firm.
Store airtight in a cool place.
