Vegetarian Quiche - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    3 to 4 Tbsp. cold water
    1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. shredded carrot
    1/3 c. green onions
    1 Tbsp. flour
    4 beaten eggs
    1 1/3 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    In a bowl, combine flour and salt.
    Cut in shortening until pieces are the size of small peas.
    Sprinkle 1 tablespoon water over part of mixture; toss with a fork.
    Push to side of the bowl. Repeat until all is moistened.
    Form into a ball.
    On a lightly floured surface, roll dough from center to edge, forming a 12-inch circle.
    Fit into a 9-inch pie pastry.
    Trim pastry to 1/2-inch beyond edge of pie plate.
    Do not prick pastry.
