Apple Cake With Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. peeled and diced apples
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Mix sugar with apples; let stand until sugar is dissolved. Add beaten egg and beat well.
Sift dry ingredients together and stir into apple mixture.
Add nuts last.
Bake in 8-inch square pan for 40 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Serve warm with sauce.
