Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, well beaten
1 Tbsp. orange rind
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. yellow raisins
1 c. coarsely chopped cranberries
Preparation

Sift first five ingredients together.
Cut in shortening until like cornmeal.
Beat egg.
Add orange juice and rind to egg then add to dry ingredients.
Carefully fold in fruits and nuts. Grease 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour.
Done when toothpick is clean when inserted.
Cool on wire rack.
