Grandma White'S Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/2 c. Karo syrup
    1/2 lb. candied cherries (red)
    1/2 lb. candied cherries (green)
    1 lb. mixed candied fruit
    1 lb. pecans, shelled and left whole
    1 pkg. golden raisins
    1/2 c. pineapple juice
Preparation
    Pour pineapple juice over candied fruit and set aside.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Sift flour and add to mixture.
    Add fruit, nuts and Karo syrup.
    Mix well.
    Pour mixture into 3 greased loaf pans that have been lined with wax paper.
    Bake at 250\u00b0
    for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
    Cool on cake rack and remove wax paper.
