Candied Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium sweet potatoes
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Boil potatoes for 15 minutes; peel and cut in halves. Place in buttered baking dish. Combine sugar, salt, butter and water. Boil 3 minutes. Pour syrup over potatoes. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Serves 6.
