Soul Gumbo Recipe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped mustard greens
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped turnip greens
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped collard greens
    1/2 head cabbage, shredded
    4 bay leaves
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1 tsp. ground thyme
    1/8 tsp. allspice
    1/8 tsp. ground cloves
    2 qt. (8 c.) water
    1/2 stick butter or margarine (1/4 c.)
    3 onions, chopped
    1 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 1/2 c. chopped celery
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 lb. veal stew meat, well trimmed and cut into small pieces
    1 lb. ham, well trimmed and cut into small pieces
    1 bunch green onions, chopped
    5 garlic cloves, minced
    1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 stick (1/4 c.) butter or margarine
    5 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    freshly cooked rice
    gumbo file (optional)
Preparation
    Combine first 11 ingredients in a Dutch oven or other large pot.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer while preparing remainder of recipe.
