Never Fail Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine
    dry
    ingredients.
    Cut in shortening, then add egg and
    milk
    and
    beat until smooth.
    Let stand 10 minutes. Drop
    by spoonful into boiling broth and cook 10 minutes.
    No need to cover.
