Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    12 large onions, chopped
    2 red sweet peppers, chopped
    2 green sweet peppers, chopped
    2 hot peppers (more or less)
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 c. salt
    6 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Mix chopped tomatoes, onions, sweet peppers and hot pepper. Let stand 2 hours in 1 cup salt.
    Pour in colander and drain all night.
    Mix sugar in vinegar and dissolve.
    Add mustard seed and tomato mixture.
    Pour in jars and seal.
