Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    1 large potato, chopped into small pieces
    1 onion, chopped
    1 carrot, chopped into small pieces
    2 Tbsp. uncooked rice
    1 c. broth (chicken, beef or pork)
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Cook hamburger (salt and pepper) and drain.
    Put cooked hamburger in a large pot. Add vegetables, rice, broth and water. Salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 cup tomato juice, if desired. Cook slowly about 45 minutes.
