Onion Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Cheez-Its cracker crumbs (save 1/2 c.)
    6 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/8 tsp. margarine
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    3 c. onion, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Combine 4 tablespoons butter with cracker crumbs; cover bottom of 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Saute 3 cups thinly sliced onions in remaining butter until limp and golden.
