Stuffed Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. fresh mushrooms
    1/2 lb. mild ground sausage (hot optional)
    1 1/4 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 diced medium onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    dash of garlic powder or 1 crushed clove garlic
    dash of hot sauce
Preparation
    Core mushrooms with small paring knife to make a pocket in each one.
    Rinse mushrooms thoroughly and set on paper towels to dry.
    Lightly brown sausage in medium frying pan.
    Remove from heat and drain well. Add cheese, onion and spices.
    Mix well. Fill each mushroom with mixture. Bake in ungreased baking pan for 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve hot.
