Beef Tips Over Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef for stew
    1 onion, chopped
    1/4 c. vegetable oil (Crisco)
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Dip beef in flour.
    Brown in Crisco oil; add salt.
    Add water; simmer.
    Add more water as needed.
    Add onion.
    Cook until tender. Make gravy.
    Cook a little longer.
    You can add mushrooms.
    Cook rice; drain well.
    Pour beef and gravy over rice.
    Serve with a tossed salad.
