Sugar Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Karo
    1 c. water
    4 c. sugar
    flavorings
    coloring
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, cook the Karo, water and sugar until it reaches 280\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Add 1 tsp. flavoring and 1 tsp. coloring and pour onto a greased cookie sheet.
    When hard, break into bite- size pieces.
    Suggested flavorings:
    mint, orange, cherry, lime
