Bootlegger Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (15 oz.) can pork and beans in tomato sauce
3 strips bacon, diced
onion to taste, chopped
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 to 3 Tbsp. ketchup
Preparation

Fry bacon.
When it is about half done, add chopped onion. When the onion starts to brown, pour off most of the grease and add the beans, brown sugar and ketchup.
Stir well.
Cover the pan and simmer slowly for a few minutes.
Or beans can be put in a baking dish and bake in a
300\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour.
