Frozen Pickle Rounds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. unpared, thinly sliced pickles
    1 large onion, diced or sliced
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. pickling salt
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
Preparation
    Mix pickles, onions and salt in large bowl.
    Cover with water. Let stand for 2 hours.
    Drain.
    Mix sugar with vinegar.
    Pour over pickles; mix.
    Put into containers.
    Leave 1/4-inch space. Freeze.
    Can be put in freezer bags also.
    Takes 2 to 3 hours to thaw.
