Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
3 c. flour
1/2 c. molasses
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs.
Mix and sift together flour, soda, salt and spices.
Add alternately with milk to mixture.
Add eggs.
This makes a stiff batter.
Knead in additional flour to a cookie dough consistency.
