Leek And Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large leeks
    2 medium potatoes
    1 onion
    2 oz. butter
    1 1/2 pt. chicken stock
    1/2 pt. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    ground pepper to taste
Preparation
    Trim off the tops and roots of the leeks, discarding the tough outer layer.
    Now, split them in half lengthwise and wash thoroughly under running water.
    Slice them up quite finely.
    Peel and dice potatoes and onions.
